John Great

John Great’s relationship with music and worship began early in Nigeria, where church became one of the places his love for worship was nurtured. Long before he imagined releasing music of his own, he was serving, singing and learning what it meant to help lead others in worship.

That foundation continued through different seasons of his life and eventually travelled with him to the United Kingdom, where he now lives.

For John, songwriting has become another expression of his walk with God. Rather than writing simply to maintain a release schedule, his songs tend to grow from things he has been praying about, learning or living through.

Made Up My Mind captures one of those convictions: the decision to follow Jesus wholeheartedly and without looking back. The Age to Age project turns towards the unchanging nature and faithfulness of God, with songs including Yahweh and No One Like You.

His music is deeply connected to his ministry as a worship leader. Whether serving a local church, joining a worship gathering or releasing music for listeners around the world, John approaches worship as service rather than performance.

Now based in the United Kingdom, he continues to write, lead worship and release music through John Great Music, with Duro forming the next chapter of that story.

At the heart of everything is a conviction that has remained remarkably simple: to know Jesus, to love Him and, through music and worship, help others turn their hearts towards Him.
